Kathryn - I apologize for taking so long to get back to you - I've been busy getting ready for the baby we're adopting from China.
The book that Tara suggested to me is called Driven By Eternity by the bestselling author John Bevere (he wrote The Bait of Satan). It's basicaly about living today in preparation for eternity. Preparing for when we stand before God - how all of us will be judged. It's an excellent book. He writes about a "make believe world" that really parallels our world and the beliefs of the Christian religion. It's not a dry, theoretical type of book (I'd never be able to get through it) but rather one where he draws characters called "Selfish", "Charity", "Ruthless", etc. that replicate people in the real world. You read about each of their journeys through life and when they reach Judgement Day - and what happens to them.
If you read it, let me know what you think.
